One World One Heart 2011

Is now finished!!  I will be back later today to announce the winner!

Welcome to the One World One Heart blog Meet and Greet!  I saw One World One Heart last year, but did not join in the fun! This year I decided to jump into this big world of fun and fabulous art work.

If you would like to join, click on One World One Heart and follow the instructions.

My name is Darlene Armstrong. I have been playing with different art mediums since grade school.  Although I was accepted at Ringling School of Art and attended briefly in 1968 ( a wonderful year, I might add) I put my art career on hold and moved on to marry and raise a family.

About ten years ago, I started creating again and through the internet have found this wonder filled world of people creating all sorts of art work with different mediums.

I love creating cards, books, altered items, pottery and just started art journaling.

My one gift for One World and One Heart is a clay box that I made in my studio time. It might be presumptuous of me to think it is art, but it is from the heart that I created the piece.  So I wish to share it and you can store your treasures in it.

This is open to all bloggers worldwide.......To be eligible to win you must have an established blog, you must leave a comment on this post only and make sure I have a way to contact you should you win. I will choose winners through the random number generator and announce those winners on February 17th. I will also contact all winners to let you know you've won.

May peace, love and joy be yours,

I like your box very much! Cool that the top/bottom meet with an angular line. Please enter me in the drawing.

A friend of mine did the Strathmore class with Pam and said it was great. I'm taking a painting class at a local college now and decided not to overload my plate. I think I would have liked the strathmore class.

Oh that's brilliant! I love boxes, been collecting them for years (along with pretty cages which are just open boxes). Any material, just as long as they 'called' to me.
This definitely calls to me.
I love the different textures you put into this. The flower topper is a nice touch!
